My favorite part? The guy screaming “Traitor!” in the background. Plus the organizers of the “freedom rally” trying to make everyone shut up because this putrid organ of the state–who is obviously more important than “we” are–was giving a speech.
That is just proof these grass-roots protests have become derailed by the GOP as recruitment rallies.

I think “derailed” is too strong. For sure they are trying to coop the rallys but I think the video is proof it is not working. I spoke at the Orange Co. tea party on the 4th. It was a small one with only about 150 people attending. I spoke before the Orange Co. Republican Chairman and went off on Bush and the Republican controlled Congress. Ripped McCain Fiengold then launched on Cap and Trade.
I got a great response from the crowd and the Chairman wouldn’t even look at me when I was done. When he spoke, it was a snoozefest.
The people at these rallies aren’t drinking the Republican Kool Aid.
