McCain
So Republicans are set to nominate the second-worst candidate of the entire initial field.
Given the degeneracy of our country, it’s hard to tell if such an outcome reflects God’s grace or God’s judgment.

Do you think McCain will choose Romney as his running mate?

Let’s face it. He doesn’t have much to choose from. But if he goes with Guiliani, we might as well swear Obama/Clinton in. Not that anyone else is much better.

I think it will be a McCain/Huckabee ticket with all the lovin going on between those two! McCain is trying desperately to get those “darn” Southern Evangelicals on his side! Little does he know, old Huck hasn’t really won us over either!

I posted a piece assuming the rumors of a back-room deal for a McCain/Huckabee ticket led to the McCain supporters getting behind Huckabee in the WV convention. Having had some time to think about it, though, I don’t think that was the case.
What I think happened in WV was, they first went to Romney to try a deal there, then, when he refused (it was the first state to vote on Super Tuesday), they went for Huckster.
What now seems patently obvious is, Romney “came to his senses” and accepted the deal for a McCain/Romney ticket, with a promise from McCain to serve only one term, leaving the Presidency open for Romney to take over in ‘12.
Or maybe, just maybe, I’m paranoid, and there is no Vast RINO-Wing Conspiracy.

By the way, Shanon… A McCain nomination in and of itself guarantees the next President will not be a white man. I wonder if that was the whole reason McCain decided to run again? Put the party he’s really loyal to back in power.

Brian,
I usually hesitate to agree with the conspiracy theories, but in this case I think you’re right…

McCain is such a meglamaniac that he may step across the aisle for Joe Lieberman with the MSM shouting “What a great day for bipartisanship!”

I’m numb. I don’t know what to do. I’m really a glutton for punishment because I’ve been attending public hearings on the “Trans Texas Cocaine/NAFTA/welcome back Spain Super Highway”. So I’m watching the “establishment” run over the people on a national and state level.

I honestly don’t understand the mindset that goes with voting for any of these [censored]. I heard someone this weekend say that they couldn’t vote for McCon or Huckster, but they were against everything Ron Paul stood for.
Against America? Freedom? Civil liberty? The Constitution? The Rule of Law? Who is against these things?
Welcome to Oceania.
