Where is the outcry from moderate muslims? Surely these purveyors of a peaceful religion are outraged at the indiscriminate killing by suicide bombers, or the grotesque images of beheadings carried out in the name of Allah. Their silence is telling and should concern anyone responsible for national security.

I think Ron Paul has a non-negligible chance of winning. I do not yet think it is likely he will win, but duty is ours. Results are God's.

We have a real problem when it comes to candidates. I personally think they are the weakest bunch I have seen in my life time.
There is not a stand out individual in the crowd. There isn't even one who comes close to that description
I know Ron Paul is you man, but I find it hard to consider him seriously.
In another time he may have had a small chance, but in the age of television he misses the boat completely. It is unfortunate that people consider a person's appearance more than their knowledge and executive skills but that is the case.
From what I have read of Lincoln he could never have been elected today based on his appearance
Richard Nixon said he felt the American people seemed to have a knack in choosing the right person for the right time in history. He said he felt that whoever was elected was the person who should have been elected.
Of course Nixon was a fatalists. He also may have been trying to convince himself that his loss to Kennedy was providential and thus remove some of the stain that comes with defeat.
If a person believes in God and really believes He moves in the affairs of man, that is certainly comforting to some degree. Assuming He is moving on our behalf.
On the other hand if you think God does indeed exist but has wound up history like a clock and is letting it run down on it's own without His interference that isn't so comforting.
I don't know that we as a country ever had that many super candidates at any time. We have had a number who at least gave that appearance
