Death Penalty No-Lose Proposition in Texas
Child molesters to face death penalty for 2nd offense. Appropriate for a crime worse than murder in its effect, in many ways. Only 25 liberals voted against it- showing that the death penalty, a Biblical and just punishment for many crimes, still has strong support in this state.

It’s unfortunate that the use of capital punishment in Texas does not meet the bibical standard for evidence, which was the sworn testimony of two eye witnesses.
The death penalty when wrongly applies creates new problems, and interestingly, doesn’t resolve the pain of the victims and family.

So Martin, do you support the death penalty when there are two or more witnesses?
The way I interpret that is as a minimum. The ancients, lacking technology to positively identify perps, had to rely on witness testimony. We know that eyewitnesses are notoriously unreliable, and even with two there is the chance of an innocent man being condemned. However, God was not trying to setup an absolutely perfect system, but one that balanced needs of justice with the rights of the accused.
With DNA evidence, fingerprints and other technological law enforcement techniques, we exceed the Biblical standard for justice. In this country, there is no evidence anyone has ever been wrongfully executed. A few were near it and then set free, but none actually were executed.
I support DNA testing for those convicted to die whose crimes predated DNA techniques- with the caveat that a positive result results in execution within 24 hours, just like a negative result would cause them to go free. If such a system were implemented, I think a lot of the anti-death-penalty do-gooders would shutup quick, as the convicts themselves wouldn’t want to roll those dice. In most of these cases, most notoriously the “Free Mumia” movement defending a cop-killer, you have streetwise ghetto criminals, experts at deception, stringing along idiot white liberals (made gullible because of their Marxist mythology of our evil, oppressive society) about their “innocence” to delay the day of justice.
